About us
We transition from Kissy's Connect to the Centre for Innovation & Excellence Africa (CIE-Africa) and our mission remains focused - empowering the next generation of African professionals.
We believe Africa's growth is driven by its talent, and our industrial bootcamps and career development programs are designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and global industrial practice.
Mission & story
CIE-Africa's journey began in 2016 with a singular powerful idea: that African students deserved a clearer roadmap to professional success. We launched our first Career Development Summit, welcoming 300 students. It was here that we realized the immense hunger for mentorship and industrial clarity among the youth. The momentum grew rapidly. Our second summit expanded its reach to over 500 participants, refining our approach to profile architecture and leadership training. By our most recent summit, the scale of our mission became undeniable. We hosted over 1,000 students across Ghana's premier institutions such as the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Ghana, Legon. These events served as a melting pot of innovation, connecting the brightest young minds with industry veterans.
Recognizing that true excellence requires global perspective, we evolved beyond the lecture halls. We launched our signature Industrial Bootcamps, taking the learning experience across borders. Our most ambitious program saw a diverse cohort of students from KNUST, UG, UPSA, UENR, UCC and other institutions embark on a 10-day intensive journey to Johannesburg, South Africa. This wasn't just a tour, it was an industrial immersion. Participants engaged with multinational facilities and ended their journey with the International Festival at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) - a climax that solidified their roles as global citizens and future industrial leaders.
